Eaglehawk Citizens' Brass Band had the pleasure of attending several Anzac Day services in the Bendigo region.
Attending dawn services in Eaglehawk and Mandurang, two of our members played the last post and Reveille for fellow community members braving the cold morning. As an ensemble the Eaglehawk Citizens' brass band then went on to perform at the Eaglehawk morning service, surrounded by those commemorating those who were lost in battle. After the conclusion of this service, the Eaglehawk Citizens' Brass Band then attended the Bendigo service, marching in the parade of past and presently serving soldiers. The Band marched and played with the Charlie company, and the Eaglehawk Citizens' Brass Band corp marched with Echo company. The drum corp also had the pleasure of accompanying the catafalque party to begin the service and at the conclusion of the service, marching the catafalque party out.
The band was honoured to be a part of this years Anzac day services and pay their respects to those who are still serving, served in the past, and to those who have fallen.
Lest we forget.
